How to Add Tags to a Contact in ClickFunnels 2.0

Hi everyone! My name is Devon from Repair My Funnel, and today I'm going to show you how to add tags to a contact in ClickFunnels 2.0. Tags are a great way to organize and track your contacts, helping you manage your funnels more effectively. Let's dive right in and get started!

Navigating to the Contacts Section

To begin, you'll want to log in to your ClickFunnels 2.0 account. Once you're on the dashboard, head over to the top left-hand corner where you'll see the "Customers" tab. Click on it, and then select "Contacts" from the dropdown menu. This is where all your contacts are stored.

Selecting a Contact

Now that you're in the Contacts section, find the contact you want to add a tag to. For this example, we're going to add a tag to a test contact. Once you've found the contact, click on their name to open their profile.

Adding a Tag

Inside the contact profile, you'll notice an "Edit" button at the top left-hand corner. Click on it to start making changes. On the right-hand side of the screen, you'll see a section labeled "Tags."

​You have two options here:

  • Select an Existing Tag: Click in the box, and a list of tags you've already created will appear. Choose the one you want to add to this contact.
  • Create a New Tag: If you don't see the tag you need, you can create one on the spot. Just type the new tag's name into the box and select it.

Saving Your Changes

Once you've added the tag(s) you want, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the "Update Contact" button. This saves your changes and successfully adds the tag to the contact.

Verifying the Tag

There are two places where you can verify that the tag was added:

  • Inside the Contact Profile: Scroll down to the "Tags" section to see the tags listed. If you click on the tags, a dropdown will show you all the tags assigned to this contact.
  • In the Contacts Tab: Go back to the main Contacts tab, and you'll see the tags listed under the "Tags" column for the contact you just updated. Clicking on the tags here will also show you the list.
